RMA will continue to provide the best Martial Arts instruction in both Kyokushin Karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We will continue updating our knowledge and bringing it to our classes so that our students, from our youngest to our most senior, can be confident in the knowledge that they have the same benefits as any other students from around the world.
RMA is proud to offer a safe, family environment for our students, so that they can be confident knowing they are our number one priority. Our instructors love their Martial Arts and are driven by a passion to both train and pass on their knowledge to our students with insight and enthusiasm.
RMA will continue to offer opportunities to compete in tournaments, and take part in training camps and seminars, supercharging their training experience.

Shihan Frank Cirillo
Kyokushin Karate, BJJ
Shihan Frank, Co-Owner of RMA & Total Fitness, has 35 years of martial arts experience and holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate. As a Branch Chief under Kancho Yoshikazu Matsushima, he oversees Kyokushin Karate’s growth in the Riverina area.
Frank has coached students to State and National Champions in Kyokushin karate Frank graded to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Coach Anthony Perosh in 2024. He successfully introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Griffith and continues to develop his skills and build more classes in the hope of exposing BJJ to more people.

Sensei Karen Cirillo
Kyokushin Karate
Sensei Karen Cirillo is the Co-owner of RMA. Karen has been training in Kyokushin Karate for 11 years and has competed in many tournaments placing consistently. She brings a wealth of knowledge through her many years of training and has a passion for teaching young children in her popular little lions karate class.
Karen is passionate about how the positive impact of rigorous training experiences can directly influence our lives. She is dedicated to supporting our students throughout their training journey by serving as a positive role model.

Sensei Michelle Brain
Kyokushin Karate
Sensei Michelle commenced training in Kyokushin Karate in 2004. Michelle graded to Blackbelt in 2011 achieved her Sandan (3rd Degree Blackbelt) in December 2023. She has competed in Non Contact, Kata and Full Contact tournaments, with wins and places at both State and National level. Michelle also ran her own dojo in Coleambally from 2008 to 2017.
Having retired form tournament fighting, Michelle now uses her knowledge and experience to train and encourage other students. She believes in leading by example through hard work and the constant pursuit of perfecting her technique. Michelle wants everyone to know that progress in Kyokushin Karate is achievable for anyone, regardless of their sex, age or physical capabilities.

Coach Peter Moraschi
BJJ
Coach Pete has been training at RMA for 14 years and is currently a Black Belt in BJJ under Team Perosh founder, Anthony Perosh. He achieved his Yellow Belt in Kyokushin Karate and competed in Full Contact tournaments in Victoria however, after his first experience with Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, training with Frank, he became hooked. Pete has competed in NSW, Victorian and ACT BJJ Championships. In Pete’s own words: “RMA has a unique BJJ family. It is one that is built around a common passion, and that passion is jiu jitsu. Everyone that trains at RMA loves jiu jitsu, and what I love most about instructing BJJ at RMA is not only the support we receive from Frank and Karen but the support we receive from each other, whether on the training mat or at competitions, everyone supports, guides and encourages each other. This is what I believe makes RMA such a special place to work and train at.”

Senpai Melissa Sergi
Kyokushin Karate
Senpai Melissa is a Nidan (Blackbelt) in Kyokushin karate and also holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian JiuJitsu. Melissa excels in Martial Arts, achieving top rankings in various competitions, including winning multiple championships in Full Contact Karate and securing a second place in the 2016 BJJ Victorian Championships.
Melissa is often at RMA, training and teaching, especially with young children in Kyokushin. She is Cert 3 qualified in Group Fitness, strives for training perfection, enjoys planning classes, and aims to provide an amazing workout for everyone.

Senpai Erin Catanzariti
Kyokushin Karate
Senpai Erin started practicing Kyokushin Karate in 2015 to stay healthy and involve her children in the experience. Her initial interest in Kyokushin soon turned into a true passion, leading to her achieving the rank of Shodan (Black Belt) in 2022. While Erin excelled in Kyokushin tournaments, she discovered her true calling lay in teaching and imparting her knowledge to others. Senpai Erin now leads her own class every Thursday morning and supports Sensei Karen in the Little Lions Karate Classes.

Senpai Jack Evans
Kyokushin Karate
Senpai Jack has dedicated himself to training in Kyokushin Karate since 2017, reaching the rank of Shodan in 2022. He remains an active competitor in Kyokushin tournaments, participating 3-4 times annually across Australia. Jack has achieved significant milestones, including being the Victorian Heavyweight Champion, NSW Heavyweight Champion, and Australian Heavyweight Champion. His dream is to represent Australia in the Kyokushin World Championships.
Apart from his own training, Jack teaches classes at our Griffith dojo and has established his own dojo in Leeton. Jack appreciates the rigorous training unique to Kyokushin and is eager to share the knowledge he has gained thus far.

Steve Zambon
Adults BJJ
Coach Steve originally started with RMA as a Kyokushin Karate student. After achieving Black Belt he found BJJ and realised that this was his calling. Steve has recently graded to Black Belt by Coach Anthony Perosh of Team Perosh, Sydney. Steve is always willing to help our students and his calm self deprecating style helps support even the most anxious student. He loves to roll but will always slow down to teach students and help them find their way through the maze of moves. Steve is a great well of knowledge.

Jakob Hill
Mat Rats BJJ
Coach Jakob is a favourite amongst the Mat Rat juniors. His happy and relaxed teaching style works well with the kids. Jakob enjoys competing and building a wider base of knowledge that he loves to share with our kids and in the adults classes. He is always generous with his time and genuinely loves working with people. A great asset for RMA!
